You know … air is good for us. I figured that out the other day. I got choked and didn’t have any. Air that is.
Figured .. “well, this is important!! I need to write this down.”
And later as I sat on my front porch whittlin’ it suddenly occurred to me, “I’ bet that the dogs need air too. “
So I look over at them lying on the porch and guess what? They were breathing too!
I thought, “Good ole country air, clean and pure. Yes sir, good for what ails you.”
But they don’t sleep outside at night. They sleep in the laundry room.
Is that good ole country air too?
So I went down to the laundry room and smelt. Yes sir. It’s clean smelling. But it’s because I have one of those CitriSafe air units. It keeps the air clean and fresh. Little creatures that live in the air, like mold spores, odors, germs and such, don’t like it, but my dogs sure do.
And it doesn’t have anything in it that can harm my puppies.
You know that stuff at the store can kill things in the air, like mold spores. But once the air is clean it comes after YOU!!! Not loyal, this store bought stuff.
Protect your dog’s air just like you protect them from running across the street.
You don’t let your puppies get into poison, so don’t spray it up their noses.

ADHD
We find that when we get rid of mold and toxic chemicals in a house, kids with ADHD in the home get better. Almost immediately they have to go off their Ritalin.
The logic behind this is easy to follow.
Kids with TRUE ADHD average of 5-7% of a classroom [according to the Psychology Department @ the University of Tennessee]. However, somewhere between 75-78% of kids in school today are diagnosed and treated for ADHD.
See the difference?
A large number of the diagnosed ADHD kids DON’T really have ADHD.
Mold toxins can cause symptoms that can lead to misdiagnosis. These toxins get into the body and mimic neurotransmitters that have specific neural functions. The neurotransmitters may tell the legs to move or tell the body when to calm down. If these neurotransmitters are bypassed or blocked by the toxins, then weird things begin to happen in the child’s world.
If your legs moved when you didn’t want them to, wouldn’t you be a little hard to get along with?
Get rid of the mold and the symptoms seem to disappear. Getting rid of mold will not change kids with real ADHD.

The inflammation from mold and other environmental materials can cause some really wierd problems.
We eliminated the mold in this lady's house. The next day she calls demanding to speak to me.
My first thought is to call my lawyer.
She had called to thank me for getting rid of her Lupus.
Lupus is an inflammatory disease, so I shouldn't have been surprised. Now I am sure the mold didn't cause the Lupus. I'm sure she isn't cured. But I do know she has NO symptoms and is very happy for the first time in quite a while.

How To FInd A Lost Lizard
If your pet lizard gets loose in your home they will stay hidden forever.
Here's a good technique for finding it and not tearing up the house at the same time.
Put a potted plant in the middle of the living room. It has to be a live plant. In a couple of days the lizard will be hiding in thepotted plant. Pick it up and put it back in its habitat.
We have used this technique to find our Savannah Monitor Lizard. As our lizard gets bigger, we have to use bigger potted plants.

My daughter's apartment flooded. The neighbor's water heater etc etc. The landlord came in and cleaned the carpet. They are going to let it "Air Dry". A week later its still drying.
Mold will grow if given 48 hours of moisture. So guess what? She now has mold. She is moving out.
When are people going to start doing the right the first time. It is like the old saying, "If you don't have time enough to do it right, where are you going to find the time to do it again?"

Do you want a long and healthy life for your pets?
There are things in our pets' environments that
can rob them of precious health and long life. I'm
not talking about cars accidents and mean kids
in the neighborhood. I'm talking about things
inside the home. Things like:
1) Food
Food is meant to be good tasting and good for you.
The same applies to our pets. Unfortunately, both
people food and pet food are full of stuff. And
most of this stuff isn't found growing naturally.
Manufacturers have taken the place of growers and
cooks. To make foods taste better things are
added.
To make foods last forever on the store shelf,
things are added. For example, tomatoes are now
designed to look good after a long trip to the
store. They are not grown to be nutritious and
safe.
On TV we see reports about how additives,
preservatives and stuff are making our children
unhealthy. The same thing applies to our pets'
food.
Preservatives keep food fresh by altering the
DNA of the creatures living on the food.
What do these preservatives do to the DNA of the
child or pet eating them?
See where I'm going?
Altered hormones, cell mutations (cancer),
sickness !!!
The only way to minimize this stuff in our pet's
food is to make the food ourselves. There are
recipes all over the web for the kitchen literate.

2) Chemicals in the home
What do you use to clean your counter tops? Where
do you store it? Can your pet get to it? Can your
kids get to it?
A large number of children and pets are poisoned
each year because household products are very
attractive to inquisitive minds. There are a lot
of products on the market that won't harm anyone
if swallowed.
We had one 6 month old child find and swallow
a cleanser. The parents didn't think he was old
enough to get to the open bottle.

3) Mold in the home
Most people consider mold in the home an
unattractive nuisance. But it can cause allergic
reactions in children AND pets.
One house we investigated had two sick, allergic,
asthmatic kids. But they called us in when the dog
started sneezing.
Does your pet sleep in the laundry room? Lots of
mold there too.
Mold can cause:
* Allergies,
* sinus problems,
* itching,
* stomach problems,
* hyperactivity,
* skin and hair problems.
This list applies both to kids and pets.
But be careful about what you use to clean away
the mold. Bleach doesn't kill mold but does burn
sensitive lungs.
Don't use any product that your store owner or
pest control person won't drink in front of you.

Sad things happen sometimes.
I was talking to a client about his children's mold induced nervous problems. [ADHD]
He mentioned that he had "put down" his pet dog that day. It was showing signs of irritability and had bitten his mother-in-law. [no mother-in-law jokes]
He found it odd that the dog was acting just like his kids. [the kids didn't bite anyone]
The predominant mold in his house was Aspergillus. This particular mold has mycotoxins that will cause hyper activity in kids AND pets.
We even see hallucinations when we encounter this mold genus.
We had a company in Knoxville, TN that was flooded by a river overflow. Aspergillus began to grow in great abundance. The man who managed the companies warehouse began to see dogs running up and down between the shelves.
The other workers came to help him corner the dogs but couldn't find any.
When we eliminated the mold the dogs "went away."
My point is the problems with the biting dog probably would have "gone away" if they had waited for the environmental cleanup.

I saw a horse race once where the winner was not declared
until the race people had a chance to look at the “photo
finish.”
Boy was it close. There was a bout 3 inches difference
between first and second place.
What could that second place horse have done in that
mile or so of endeavor? What little bit extra could have won that race? How much extra energy or endurance did that horse need? 5%, 10%??
For three inches in a mile race, the horse needed less
than 5% more performance to win.
What about a high school track star? How much extra do
they need to go to the Olympics?
Probably about 5% more energy; 5% more mental clarity.
Let’s back up in time.
When the high school student [or professional athlete]
sat in the dressing room, what were they breathing?
When they were at home in their bedroom, what were
they touching?
Most people exposed to mold or some pollutants will
show somewhere between 5-10% performance loss.

This is due to:
1. Slightly impaired oxygen uptake
2. Scrambled neurotransmitters that confuse muscle
tissue
3. Interference with chemical cycles in the production
of energy
4. Mental acuity interference
Mold
Molds give off chemicals that mimic natural signal
chemicals in the body. These chemicals can cause
confusion inside the body. An athlete needs focus
not confusion.

Mold loves moist buildings. Can you think of
anything wetter than a high school dressing room?
And many homes have wet basements or attics.
So if you get rid of the mold in the athletes
dressing room and home you can gain 5-10% extra
performance, right? Well almost.
Store cleansers
We also have to think about regular chemicals
in the home that can also interfere with
nerve/muscle junctions.
Most high schools try to get rid of mold and
bacteria with bleach. Well, bleach won’t kill mold.
But that’s the subject of another article. Bleach
will burn the lungs and mess up vision and cause
disorientation.

Some of the things you buy at the store contain phenols and
formaldehyde. Like bleach these cleaners scar the lungs and
decrease the person’s ability to breathe efficiently.

Ozone machines
Some people use ozone machines to disinfect the air in
locker rooms. The logic is that ozone is all natural.

Ozone has been traced to lowered lung efficiency. The
lungs become less elastic and so the amount of air
sucked in is less. Now there is something that will
decrease athletic ability. Probably more than the
5-10% we have been talking about.
Conclusion
Okay what will clean the environment and not harm
the potential sports hero?
Go to your health food store and look for cleaners
with tea tree oil [Melaleuca oil] or grapefruit Seed
Extract. They kill mold and bacteria but don’t cause
changes in the body’s ability to function at peak
efficiency. Our company motto is, “If You Can’t Drink
It, Don’t Spray It.”
Just changing your cleaning products and cleaning
up mold can add that 5-10% performance to an athlete.

There may really be a real monster under your kid’s bed!
Seriously, they could actually be there!
If you are a parent you have heard about monsters under the bed
and in the closet. There was even a movie about Monsters coming
into kid’s bedrooms through the closet. They were collecting screams,
or some such.
There are many unknown underlying problems that can keep a child
from wanting to go to bed.
* Mommy and Daddy were sharing cross words just before bed time
* Brother Johnny told them they were adopted
* Sister Sally told the child about her best friend disappearing one
night
All these things can coagulate into monsters.
You could probably write a book about the different monsters your
kids have described.
Bedtime problems are probably right behind “potty training” as a
worry factor in your child’s upbringing. Probably as much time is
spent by parents on cajoling kids to sleep as any other part of
parenting.
And some parents cajole so well. Some do it by fighting with the
monster.
There is actually a monster-proofing spray you can make for your kids.
It contains:
One ounce of peppermint oil [health food store]
16 ounces of water
One hair of a dog or cat [check your living room rug] – this is optional
Mix together in a spray bottle. If the monster is bothering your child,
shake the bottle [monster antidotes tend to settle in the mixture] and
spray under the bed. And maybe some in the closet too [for good
measure].
It works very well for the average monster.
But what about the super monsters, the real monsters?
Think about this:
* There is usually stuff under the bed. Things like old socks, dust,
half eaten sandwiches.
* Mold grows on stuff.
* Mold produces spores and chemicals
* Spores are breathed in by the sleeping child
* The chemicals are breathed, too.
* Kid cannot sleep because some of these chemicals are neuro-
excitatory. These chemicals disturb sleep, cause hallucinations, cause
body aches, and can even contribute to ADHD symptoms.
* Kid’s imagination invents monster to explain these feelings.
* Plus these molds can actually cause allergies, sinus infections, lung
infections, ear aches and dandruff [oh no, not dandruff]
Now I don’t know about you, but that sounds like the definition of a
monster to me.
The solution?
Make two monster sprays. Exchange Tea Tree Oil for the Peppermint
oil in the first formula. This second formula will help hold off on
mold growth, I mean Monsters, under the bed.
Oh, and maybe cleaning under the bed might help too.
